In 2010, Craig found himself in the darkest chapter of his life, battling a drug addiction that had taken hold at a very young age. Near death and in the ICU, he reached a critical turning point as the drugs threatened to win the battle. Thankfully, Craig chose to fight back. He embraced treatment and committed himself to the lifelong journey of recovery.
In 2016, Craig took a leap of faith into the unknown and joined our Uganda team for his first trip. The experience changed him. He later joined the board and has since returned to Uganda many times, becoming an invaluable part of our organization. Giving back has given Craig a renewed sense of purpose—something he felt was missing for much of his life. His love for Uganda and its people runs deep.
Craig has been married to his wife, Michelle, for 30 years. They have an adult son and are also raising their 13-year-old great-niece as their own. For the past 16 years, he has worked in the transportation industry. Outside of work, Craig enjoys hiking, running, camping, traveling, watching baseball, and spending time with friends. He is also an avid Oregon Ducks football fan.
