Many years ago, John and Karen Williams became aware of the large number of orphans living in Uganda and decided they could impact some precious lives. In 2006, with the help of friends and God’s leading, they built our current orphanage home in Western Uganda. John has traveled to Uganda many times over the years and has been a big supporter of the Ugandan people and PHU. John has a passion for the little ones and currently funds our seven toddler programs in the Bundibuygo district as well as our vocational training program. John has owned and managed a distributing business for over 50 years and Karen has worked as a medical doctor for over 40 years. The couple have two adult children. He and his wife invite others looking for meaning to share their joy and join our organization. The Williams enjoy a rounded life of recreation, travel and live in the beautiful Washington state.
