If you are interested in taking a trip with our mission team, please reach out as our next scheduled trip is January 2026.The cost of the trip is approximately $3,000. The cost includes your hotels, meals, your share of the ground transportation, and entrance fees to Queen Elizabeth National Park or Chimpanzee Trekking in the Kibale Forest…both amazing experiences. Not included are some meals, personal souvenirs and items you might want to purchase to present to people in Uganda. Flight prices range from $1,300 to $1,800.
We are limit the number of team members to 12. You may reserve your place with a nonrefundable deposit of $300. If you follow through with your plans, the deposit will become part of your trip costs. If your plans change, the $300 will become a donation to Project Hope Uganda and directly benefit the people of Uganda.
A mission trip to Uganda is an amazing life-changing experience. You will certainly encounter extreme poverty and conditions that you can hardly believe. The hotels and food are very different than what you are used to. Sometimes you will have access to western-style toilets, but you will sometimes use a hole in the ground. Conditions can be hot and humid in the area we work but thankfully the area where we stay cools off nicely at night. You might see some strange-looking bugs and critters, feel off schedule with the 11 hour time difference, smell some not so pleasant smells and you will sleep under a mosquito net. You also will meet wonderful people, often in desperate situations, who hope that someone cares about them and loves them. You will definitely leave part of your heart in a country eleven time zones away and return home and bit baffled by what you experienced. You will hopefully understand that you made a tangible difference in the lives of some very precious, underprivileged people.
Before accepting the big commitment of time and finances, we recommend that you pray for God’s leading and that you talk with someone who has been to Uganda who can help you decide whether you can realistically be adaptable for two weeks. All of our team members are passionate about Uganda and happy to speak with you and we have volunteers who have taken the trip and happy to share their experience. We can say, without a doubt, that every person who has taken the trip has had a life changing experience.
