In 2012, Kendalyn was fortunate enough to take a trip to Uganda and it was a life changing experience. She was able to meet so many wonderful people and gain a better understanding of the world at a young age. She has always felt a calling to go back someday and has a passion for serving others. After graduating college in 2023 with a degree in Strategic & Corporate Communications and Leadership Studies, she wanted to put the concept of being a ‘servant leader’ into action. She now works at Waste Connections on the Safety Team, and sees her job as an ability to serve frontline employees with tools to help them return home to their loved ones every day. Now that she has relocated back to Vancouver, she took the opportunity in 2024 to serve on the PHU Board, as the Secretary where she can exercise her love for organization, writing, and service in conjunction with one another. She is excited for this new position and is looking forward to developing relationships and being able to assist the wonderful PHU Team, on both sides of the world.
