John Williams

Board Member

Many years ago, John and Karen Williams learned about the overwhelming number of orphaned children living in Uganda and felt called to make a difference. In 2006, guided by their faith and supported by friends, they built what is now our orphanage home in Western Uganda. Since then, John has traveled to Uganda many times, becoming a steadfast supporter of the Ugandan people and of PHU’s mission.

John has a special passion for young children and currently funds our seven toddler programs in the Bundibuygo District, as well as our vocational training program. His commitment has helped transform countless lives and expand opportunities for vulnerable youth.
Professionally, John has owned and managed a distribution business for more than 50 years, while Karen has served her community as a medical doctor for over 40 years. They have two adult children and warmly invite others seeking meaning and purpose to share in their joy by joining our organization.
The Williams enjoy a well-rounded life filled with recreation, travel, and time spent in the natural beauty of their home state of Washington.
