Since 2013, our Pen Pal Program has connected U.S. sponsors with children in Uganda, creating meaningful friendships across the world. Each sponsor is matched with a student living in our orphanage or attending secondary school.
The commitment is easy: three letters and one gift bag per year, plus a $50 annual donation. Students write back three times a year, sharing their lives, goals, and challenges. These letters bring joy and encouragement to both the children and their sponsors.
Many sponsors have stayed connected with their students for over a decade. Some have even met in person, creating unforgettable moments after years of writing to one another.
